CD antigens expression in Stem cell

In recent years, a wide range of CD antigens/Cluster of differentiation markers have been reported to be a useful tool for studying the stem cells, especially for human species. The CD antigens can be used to exclude undifferentiated cells from neural populations, and are most commonly used markers to identify mesenchymal stem cells. CD markers have been used to exclude endothelial cells and hematopoietic stem cells. Positive CD antigens include CD105, CD73, CD29, CD44, CD54, CD90, CD105, CD133, and CD166, whereas negative antigens are CD11, CD14, CD19, CD31, CD34, CD45, and CD79.
