Full length Clone DNA of Human integrin, alpha L (antigen CD11A (p180), lymphocyte function-associated antigen 1; alpha polypeptide) with C terminal OFPSpark / RFP tag.
ITGAL (Integrin Subunit Alpha L) is a Protein Coding gene. 3 alternatively spliced human isoforms have been reported. ITGAL encodes the integrin alpha L chain, which belongs to the integrin alpha chain family. This I-domain containing alpha integrin combines with the beta 2 chain (ITGB2) to form the integrin lymphocyte function-associated antigen-1 (LFA-1), which is expressed on all leukocytes. Hypomethylation of regions flanking the ITGAL promoter may increase CD11a expression and suggest that age-dependent hypomethylation of promoters lacking CpG islands, perhaps due to decreased DNA methyltransferase expression, may be one mechanism contributing to increased T cell gene expression with aging. Diseases associated with ITGAL include Immune-Complex Glomerulonephritis and Chronic Venous Insufficiency.
