    TRAF2 の背景知識

Tumor necrosis factor (TNF) receptor-associated factor 2 (TRAF2) is a member of the TRAF superfamily that acted as a key signal transduction protein and has been implicated in inflammatory and apoptosis processes in mammals. TRAF2 as a novel regulatory factor for BMAL1 and reveals a new domain in TRAF2 for substrate binding, which may extend the regulatory functions of TRAF2 and BMAL1 in many biological processes, such as circadian rhythm. Tumour necrosis factor receptor associated factor 2 (TRAF2), a key component of NFkappaB signalling, has been identified as an oncogene, that the TRAF2/NFkappaB axis is implicated in the regulation of skeletal tumour burden and osteolysis associated with advanced breast cancer. The high expression of TRAF2 can predict poorer prognosis of GBM and was identified as an independent biomarker in GBM prognosis.
