SBDS Proteins, Antibodies, cDNA Clones Research Reagents

SBDS (SBDS Ribosome Maturation Factor) is a protein coding gene located on human chromosome 7q11.21. SBDS is also known as SDS, SWDS and CGI-97. The human SBDS gene encodes a 28764 Da protein containing 250 amino acids. The SBDS protein is ubiquitously expressed in heart, fat and other tissues. Among its related pathways are Ribosome biogenesis in eukaryotes. SBDS is related to rRNA binding. SBDS is associated with some diseases, including Shwachman-Diamond Syndrome 1 and Aplastic Anemia.

      SBDS の背景知識

The mutation of Shwachman-Bodian-Diamond syndrome (SBDS) gene has been proposed to be a major causative reason for SDS. Shwachman-Diamond syndrome (SDS) is a rare pediatric disease characterized by various systemic disorders, including hematopoietic dysfunction. SBDS deficiency leads to telomere shortening, that SBDS is a telomere-protecting protein that participates in regulating telomerase recruitment.
