PRMT2 Antibodies, cDNA Clones Research Reagents

PRMT2 (Protein Arginine Methyltransferase 2) is a protein coding gene located on human chromosome 21q22.3. PRMT2 is also known as HRMT1L1. The human PRMT2 gene encodes a 49042 Da protein containing 433 amino acids. The PRMT2 protein is ubiquitously expressed in ovary, spleen and other tissues. Among its related pathways are Retinoblastoma (RB) in Cancer and mRNA Splicing - Major Pathway. PRMT2 is related to protein homodimerization activity and transcription coactivator activity. PRMT3 is an important paralog of PRMT2 gene. PRMT2 is associated with some diseases, such as Breast Cancer.

    PRMT2 の背景知識

Protein arginine N-methyltransferase 2 (PRMT2), also named HRMT1L1, belongs to the Bovine Protein arginine N-methyltransferase (PRMT) genes which are involved in the immune response. The arginine N-methyltransferase 2 protein (PRMT2, also known as HRMT1L1) is thought to act as a coactivator of ERalpha.Protein arginine N-methyltransferase 2 (PRMT2) functions in JAK-STAT and Wnt/beta-catenin signalling pathways, serves as a nuclear receptor-dependent transcriptional co-activator, and represses NF-kappaB and E2F1 transcription factor activities to promote apoptosis
