PRMT1 Antibodies, cDNA Clones Research Reagents

PRMT1 (Protein Arginine Methyltransferase 1) is a protein coding gene located on human chromosome 19q13.33. PRMT1 is also known as ANM1, HCP1, IR1B4 and HRMT1L2. The human PRMT1 gene encodes a 42462 Da protein containing 371 amino acids. The PRMT1 protein is ubiquitously expressed in ovary, heart and other tissues. Among its related pathways are Chromatin organization and Apoptotic Pathways in Synovial Fibroblasts. PRMT1 is related to methyltransferase activity. PRMT8 is an important paralog of PRMT1 gene. PRMT1 is associated with some diseases, including Ewing Sarcoma and Renal Wilms' Tumor.

    PRMT1 の背景知識

Protein arginine methyltransferase 1 (PRMT1) is a key player in the dynamic regulation of arginine methylation. Its dysregulation and aberrant expression are implicated in various pathological conditions, and a plethora of evidence suggests that PRMT1 inhibition is of significant therapeutic value.PRMT1 is the most highly expressed of the protein arginine methyltransferases, enzymes responsible for methylation of arginine motifs on histone and nonhistone proteins. PRMT1 regulates signal transduction and transcriptional activity that affect multiple signal pathways crucial in craniofacial development, such as the BMP, TGFbeta, and WNT pathways.
