PKC delta/PRKCD Proteins, Antibodies, cDNA Clones Research Reagents

PRKCD (Protein Kinase C Delta) is a protein coding gene located on human chromosome 3p21.1. PRKCD is also known as MAY1, PKCD, ALPS3, CVID9, and nPKC-delta. The human PRKCD gene encodes a 77505 Da protein containing 676 amino acids. The PRKCD protein is ubiquitously expressed in adrenal, bone marrow and other tissues. Among its related pathways are DAG and IP3 signaling and Translation Translation regulation by Alpha-1 adrenergic receptors. PRKCD is related to transferase activity, transferring phosphorus-containing groups and protein tyrosine kinase activity. PRKCQ is an important paralog of PRKCD gene. PRKCD is associated with some diseases, including Autoimmune Lymphoproliferative Syndrome, Type Iii and Autoimmune Lymphoproliferative Syndrome.

        PKC delta/PRKCD の背景知識

PRKCD, a novel member of the pkc gene family, maps to human chromosome 3.Protein kinase C (PKC) delta (PRKCD) is a member of the novel PKC subfamily that regulates gene expression in bovine trophoblast cells. Protein kinase Cdelta (PRKCD) initiates this process by phosphorylating FBXO25 and HAX-1, thereby spatially directing nuclear FBXO25 to mitochondrial HAX-1.PRKCD may suppress macroautophagy/autophagy, a cytoprotective mechanism, to promote kidney tubule cell death during cisplatin treatment. Interestingly, PRKCD may do so by phosphorylating AKT, which further phosphorylates MTOR to repress ULK1.
