MRPL24 Antibodies, cDNA Clones Research Reagents

MRPL24 (Mitochondrial Ribosomal Protein L24, also known as L24mt; MRP-L18; MRP-L24), located on 1q23.1, is a Protein Coding gene. MRPL24 is 1 of more than 70 protein components of mitochondrial ribosomes that are encoded by the nuclear genome, playing an essential role in the mitochondrial translation process. It belongs to the universal ribosomal protein uL24 family. This gene encodes a 39S subunit protein which is more than twice the size of its E.coli counterpart (EcoL24). The related pathways include the Organelle biogenesis and maintenance and Viral mRNA Translation.

    MRPL24 の背景知識

MRPL24 (Mitochondrial Ribosomal Protein L24) is a Protein Coding gene. The MRPL24 gene, located on 1q23.1, is conserved in chimpanzee, Rhesus monkey, dog, cow, mouse, rat, chicken, zebrafish, fruit fly, mosquito, C.elegans, and frog. This gene encodes a 39S subunit protein which is more than twice the size of its E.coli counterpart (EcoL24). Sequence analysis identified two transcript variants that encode the same protein. MRPL24 is 1 of the 82 protein components of mitochondrial ribosomes, playing an essential role in the mitochondrial translation process. MRPL24 is widely expressed in fat, adrenal, and other tissues. Among its related pathways are Organelle biogenesis and maintenance and Viral mRNA Translation.
