MRGPRF (MAS Related GPR Family Member F) is a Protein Coding gene. The MRGPRF gene, located on 11q13.3, is conserved in chimpanzee, Rhesus monkey, dog, cow, mouse, and rat. MRGPRF belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family. The encoded protein is an orphan receptor. It may bind to a neuropeptide and may regulate nociceptor function and/or development, including the sensation or modulation of pain (By similarity). MRGPRF is one of the G-protein coupled receptor signaling pathway-related genes, which is found to be down-regulated in early-onset preeclampsia. MRGPRF is widely expressed in the endometrium, prostate, and other tissues. Diseases associated with MRGPRF include Isolated Growth Hormone Deficiency, Type Ib.
