HMG4/HMGB3 Antibodies, cDNA Clones Research Reagents

HMGB3 (High Mobility Group Box 3, also known as HMG4; HMG-4; HMG2A; HMG-2a), located on Xq28, is a Protein Coding gene. The gene produces a 22980 Da protein composed of 200 amino acids. HMGB3 belongs to the high mobility group (HMG) protein superfamily. Like HMG1 and HMG2, human HMGB3 contains 2 HMG box repeats and an acidic C-terminal domain. HMBG3 may be a potential molecular marker for predicting the prognosis of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) patients. Diseases such as Microphthalmia, Syndromic 13, and Microphthalmia are associated with HMGB3.

    HMG4/HMGB3 の背景知識

    High mobility group box protein 3 (HMGB3) regulates proliferation and inflammatory response in vertebrates. High mobility group box 3 (HMGB3), a member of the high-mobility group box (HMGB) family, was reported to be over-expressed in gastric carcinoma and bladder cancer, affect tumor initiation and progression. HMGB3 may serve as an oncoprotein and could be used as a potential prognostic marker in colorectal cancer (CRC). HMBG3 may be a potential molecular marker for predicting the prognosis of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) patients. HMGB3 may serve as an important oncoprotein and indicate that overexpression of HMGB3 in Human urinary bladder cancer (UBC) could be used as a potential prognostic marker.
