GPRASP2 (G Protein-Coupled Receptor Associated Sorting Protein 2, also known as DFNX7; GASP2), located on Xq22.1, is a Protein Coding gene. The gene produces a 93773 Da protein composed of 838 amino acids. GPRASP2 interacts with select G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) and is predicted to modulate GPCR signaling. The protein has an N-terminal domain that shares similarity with GASP1, followed by 2 copies of a 15-amino acid motif that is repeated 22 times in GASP1, and a C-terminal 250-amino acid GASP core domain that is conserved in GASP family members.

    GPRASP2 (G Protein-Coupled Receptor Associated Sorting Protein 2) is a Protein Coding gene. GPRASP2, a member of a family that regulates the activity of G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs), has been reported to be involved in the modulation of transcription. The encoded protein is capable of interacting with several GPCRs, including the M1 muscarinic acetylcholine receptor and the calcitonin receptor. The Pitchfork (Pifo) and the G protein-coupled receptor-associated sorting protein 2 (Gprasp2) are essential components of a Hh induced ciliary targeting complex able to regulate Smo translocation to the PC. Diseases associated with GPRASP2 include Deafness, X-Linked 7, and Extratemporal Epilepsy.
