CoV 3CLpro / 3C-like protease Proteins, cDNA Clones Research Reagents

The SARS-CoV-2 genome shares high sequence identity with SARS-CoV. Both viruses critically rely on the activity of viral proteases: the main protease (Mpro, also known as 3CLpro or non-structural protein 5 (nsp5)) and the papain-like protease (PLpro, the protease domain of nsp3) to generate a functional replicase complex and enable viral spread. SCoV-PLpro cleaves ubiquitin and ISG15, known regulators of host innate immune pathways, and inhibition of SCoV-PLpro has been shown to block SARS-CoV replication.

      CoV 3CLpro / 3C-like protease の背景知識

3C-like protease (3CLpro) is the main protease of Humann Coronavirus. 3C-like protease (3CLpro) is a key enzyme, as it cleaves several sites to produce non-structural proteins that are essential for genome replication and Coronavirus virion production, such as an RNA-dependent RNA polymerase, a helicase, ribonucleases and 3CLpro itself, from two types of polyproteins (pp1a and pp1ab). SARS-CoV 3CLpro exists as a homodimer and each protomer has an active site.
